Is there anything you'd rather have than the real thing?
Artificial flowers?
Artificial crab?
Artificial legs?
Artificial church?
Real is better. Am I right?
It's possible for the real things in my life to be replaced with artificial (made or produced by human beings rather than occurring naturally, especially as a copy of something natural.) things. I have to stand guard.
Paul warned the Romans about becoming artificial worshippers,
For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
Romans 1:21-23
I like a good Nerf night and Nerf's tagline is "It's Nerf or Nothing" and later they added "Accept no substitutes". Maybe our tagline should be, "It's real or nothing."
Real friends.
Real ministry.
Real worship.
Real God.
Let's all get back back to what's real.
Have a great week.
Paul
