My pastor made a powerful point about how God uses even the mundane things of life to bring glory to Himself and I need you to hear this.
It was just a donkey.
Just a room.
Just a basin and a towel.
But in the hands of Jesus, the ordinary became sacred.
In Luke 19, two disciples are sent to fetch a donkey—no spotlight, no applause. Just a simple, quiet task. Yet that donkey carried the Savior into the city to begin the most important week in human history.
In Luke 22, another seemingly small moment: preparing a room. Not glamorous, just setting things in order. But it became the place where Jesus would give His final words, wash His disciples’ feet, and break the bread that would become the symbol of our salvation.
How many “just a…” moments are you living through right now?
Just a game night.
Just a small group with only two kids.
Just another Wednesday.
But God still does holy work in humble places.
This week, as you prepare for Easter and all the behind-the-scenes things that no one will notice, remember this: the mundane in your ministry may be the very moment God is preparing to use for something eternal.
Keep showing up. Keep doing the little things. He sees them all.
